Licensing

4DAGE provides both online and offline licensing for the 4DKanKan Offline Version. The License Manager is a separate application that is downloaded with the 4DKanKan Software.

Before you start licensing, you must obtain your License Code from 4DAGE.

After licensing, you will also need an Authorization Code to bind your device to the 4DKanKan Software before transferring and processing data from the device.

1. License Manager

  1. You need to use the License Manager to obtain a valid license to use the 4DKanKan Software to transfer and calculate data;
  2. If you already have a valid license, you do not need to re-license when you reinstall the Software;
  3. Do not disable the Ethernet connection on the selected computer.

1.1 Online Licensing

1 Run the License Manger and select online activation.
2 Enter the License Code provided by 4DAGE.
3 Licensing finished.

1.2 Offline Licensing

First time Licensing

Step Description Image
1 Run the License Manager and select offline activation.
2 Enter the license code provided by 4DAGE in the pop-up window and click Confirm to generate the request file. The default name of the activation request file is shown like this: 2022-07-15 Request Code.req.
3 Provide the request file to 4DAGE to get the licensing file. The licensing file format is like: 2022-7-15 Update.upd.
4 Copy the licensing file to the computer that generated the request file, click Use Licesing File in the License Manager, find the licensing file (.upd), and upload it to complete the licensing.
5 The Offline activation will generate a result file that is used to send error messages to 4DAGE technical support if errors occur during licensing. The result file is in a format such as 2019-05-15 Confirm Code.rpt, in the same directory as the License Manager. (Note: Please send this rpt file back to 4DAGE technical support).
6 Licensing finished.

License Extension

To extend the license, you need to select the existing license code to "Generate upgrade request file", "Get upgrade file" and "Use upgrade file" to complete the upgrade.

2. Device Binding

To transfer and process the data captured by the device, you need to bind it in the software.

2.1 Device Authorization

1 In Camera Management, click Camera Authorization.
2 Copy the Machine Code, and send it to 4DAGE to get for the Authorization Code.
3 Device binding finished, you can view it in the Camera Management. This list shows the SN code, the number of scenes synchronized with the computer, and when they were last synchronized.

2.2 Device Replacement

1 In Camera Management, click to open the Camera Replacement page.
2 Contact 4DAGE and provide the SN code of the device to be replaced. After obtaining the Camera Replacement Key from 4DAGE, enter the Key in the Camera Replacement page.
3 Replacement finished. After the replacement, the data synchronized with the original device will remain unchanged, but you cannot continue to synchronize the data of the original device.
