+# Scanning with Offline Devices
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+The 4DKanKan Offline Version devices can be used completely offline by utilising the offline version App, USB flash drive and 4DKanKan Software. The offline workflow includes data acquisition, data upload/transfer and data calculation.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+## Before the Scan
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+1. Download the offline version App.
|
|
|
+2. Setup the device according to the tutorial each device.
|
|
|
+3. Open the APP, on the **Me** page, click **Camera Type** and select the one you used.
|
|
|
+4. Click **Camera Connection**, search for the Wi-Fi named **4DXX_XXXXXXXXX**, enter the password 12345678 to connect.
|
|
|
+5. If your phone prompts that this Wi-Fi is not connected to the network and asks you to switch automatically, please click [No].
|
|
|
+6. After the WIFI connection is successful, return to the Me page, at this time the status bar on the APP will show the connection status.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+## Capturing the Scan
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+1. Click the plus sign in the **Local** and select a mode to create a new task.
|
|
|
+2. After creating a new task, scan, face the camera, and click the capture button in the App.
|
|
|
+3. The scanner will scan in a clockwise direction, rotating 60 degrees for a total of 6 rotations to scan a point. While scanning, follow the rotation and face to the camera display to avoid being captured.
|
|
|
+4. After scanning, click Save in the top-right corner of the scan page, enter project information, and click Save again to save the project.
|
|
|

|
|
|
+## Transfer the Data
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+1. Connect the USB flash drive to the 4DKanKan device. If the USB flash drive is connected, a check mark will appear in the top right corner of the app.
|
|
|
+2. Click Upload to upload the project to the USB flash drive. You will see a message asking if you want to generate the OBJ model (optional for TLS only) and set the project password. Click OK to start uploading.
|
|
|
+3. The project has been transferred to a USB flash drive. Click USB Drive to check the projects that have been transferred to the USB flash drive.
|
|
|

|
|
|

|
|
|
+## Data Calculation
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+1. You can see the Sync page when you plug in the USB drive to your computer.
|
|
|
+2. Select scenes you want to sync and click **Sync** to synchronize them to the computer. For scene that has been synchronized, you can **Resync** to overwrite scenes on the computer.
|
|
|
+3. Click **Delete** to delete scenes on the USB drive.
|
|
|
+4. Multiple scenes can be selected for **Batch Sync** or **Batch Delete**.
|
|
|
+5. Go back to the **Scene Management** and click **Calculate**  to select unprocessed scenes for calculation.

+## Rescanning or Continued Scanning
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+1. Plug in the USB flash drive
|
|
|
+2. Go to the **Local Scene on Computer** page.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+3. If the current scene is only saved on the computer, click **Sync** to copy it to the USB flash drive.
|
|
|
+If the scene is svaed on both the USB drive and the computer, click **Resync** to overwrite the scene on the USB drive.<br/>
|
|
|
+4. After synchronization, plug in the USB drive to the camera, and you can use the 4DKanKan Offline Version App to download scenes from the USB drive to rescan or continue scanning. (**The corresponding scene data must not be deleted from the camera**).
